Constructionarium is a field trip that is suitable for any undergraduate studying a Built Environment or engineering related degree. It provides a practical platform through its portfolio of projects, for students to apply their theorical knowldege. Many Universities have offered Constructionarium as either a intergrated module as part of their degree offering or as an optional field trip.
As well as providing the practical element to support an academic curriculum, Constructionarium also provides delegates with valuable employability skills – teamwork, leadership, project management, site experience, budget control, H&S instruction; as well as providing a live case study for the students to discuss with prospective employers when they are seeking summer, industrial or graduate employment.
The JBM (Joint Board of Moderators), the ICE (Institution of Civil Engineers) and the IStructE (Institution of Structural Engineers) fully support and endorse the programme.
